Privacy notice
Plain language: what I collect when you contact me, why, and how to have it deleted.
Responsible party: Douglas Bailey, trading as Terminal Velocity AI (the “I” in this notice). Last updated 4 October 2026.
What I collect
- What you type into the project brief form or the checklist form: your name, email address, organisation, the details you choose to give, and your timeline and budget choices.
- Technical data sent with the form: a one-way hashed version of your IP address (not the address itself), your browser’s user-agent string, the website that referred you, and any campaign tags in the link you clicked.
- The time you ticked the consent box.
Why I collect it
To answer your enquiry, send you the checklist you asked for, and prepare a proposal if you want one. I also use it to protect the forms from spam and abuse. I do not sell your information, share it with advertisers, or add you to a mailing list.
Where it is kept, and for how long
On my own server, in a database that is not reachable from the public website. I keep enquiries for up to 24 months, unless we start working together, in which case the records belong to our project file.
Cookies and tracking
This site sets no cookies and loads no third-party analytics, fonts or advertising scripts. Links to my example sites and to the booking page take you to other sites, which have their own notices.
Your rights
You may ask me what I hold about you, ask me to correct it, or ask me to delete it. Reply to any email you received from me with the word “delete”, or send a message through the contact form asking for your data to be erased, and I will do so promptly. If you are in South Africa you may also complain to the Information Regulator; if you are in the EU or UK, to your local data protection authority.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS, forms are validated and rate-limited, and stored enquiries sit outside the web root with restricted permissions.
